Which antenna to buy~

Hi,

I received wonderful advice several years ago on which antenna to purchase and so I'm here again asking for an elderly friend that wants to switch to OTA. Could someone help me with what type of antenna to buy for my location and it will be placed in my attic. Below is my signal analysis~

Welcome, synergy

Thank you for the signal report. The link doesn't work because the center part got lost when you did a copy-and-paste from your previous post. Here is the corrected link:

The report that you did used the old database datecode 201711011344, that has a few errors. TVFool just started using a new more accurate datecode 201801291705 that shows the missing WSPA CBS on real channel 7:

Unfortunately, your channels are in different directions, and some are much weaker than others. Which channels are most important to you?

ABC is on W05AC and W31DY translators.

The signals will be weaker if you put your antenna in the attic. The signal loss is difficult to predict because of differences in building construction.

I suggest a Stellar Labs 30-2475 VHF-High antenna aimed at 322 degrees magnetic for WSPA CBS on real channel 7.

and an Antennas Direct DB4e aimed at 280 degrees magnetic for WHNS Fox on real channel 17 and WYFF NBC on real channel 36.

combine the two antennas with a UVSJ UHF-VHF-Separator-Joiner, AKA UHF/VHF combiner or diplexer.

If you can't receive WLOS for ABC on the WSPA antenna, you will need a third antenna for W05AC or W31DY and an A/B switch.

If you can't get the antennas to work in the attic even with a preamp, they will have to be outside.
