DB8e reception

Installed a DB8e on the roof and could get channels 14.1, 12.1, 50.1 that seems like all the latino channels but not ABC, CBS, FOX. Those channels had a lower db than ABC or CBS and were coming from the same direction. Don't have any idea, when I mapped it on tvfool local channels should be easy to get.

Please call customer service at 877-825-5572. Hours are from 9-9 Central.

There's way too much information absent from your posting and it's simply easier to speak to one of our representatives to troubleshoot your reception concerns.

The Digital Tv Reception Signal Strengths Are Very Weak Signal Strengths at Your Recetion Location.

Install the DB8e antenna Above The Peak Of The Roof.

Aim both panels of the DB8e antenna at about 300 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compas to aim antennas.

Also install a , www.antennacraft.net , Y10-7-13 VHF high band channels 7 thru 13 antenna aimed at about 300 degree magnetic compass direction.

Install a , RCA , TVPRAMP1R , preamplifier.

Connect the DB8e UHF Channels 14 thru 51 antenna to the UHF connection of the preamplifier.

Connect the Y10-7-13 antenna to the VHF connection of the preamplifier.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

Buy the , HFS-2D and HFS-3D , splitters at , www.hollandelectronics.com .

--------------

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the , OTA=Over The Air , ATSC-Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels , often named the ~ DTV Channels ~ Antenna Channels ~ Air Channels ~ in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some Digital Tv's will Automatic channel scan for cable Tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable Tv channels.

Go into the Tv Setup Menu and select ~ DTV Channels ~ Antenna Channels ~ Air Channels ~ .

Scan for , ATSC-Digital Broadcast Tv Stations Channels.

--------------

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on Broadcast Tv Reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and building on the directions of reception.

Some and not all Negative Effects are.

Absorbing and Blocking Reception.

Multi-Path Reflecting Tv Signals Bouncing All Around.

The Best Pratice is to install the antennas at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions in the directions of reception including your own roof at house.
