Finding an antenna for a NYC apartment, facing a bldg, 7th floor

We have tried the RCA and the clear seam. We get NBC and CBS but not abc or PBS for a $100 antenna. We are 30 blocks from the Empire State Building, going north
. Is it that we are blocked by buildings? Are there wireless antennas that we could attach to our tv and out the antenna in the window and leave the tv across the room
Or should we just rely on roku and forget general tv

Have you considered trying a Terk HDTVi (not the HDTVa)?
