magnetic or true north ?

Hi, I know this sounds stupid , but should i point the antenna using 296* or
300* to get my chicago stations?

I'm not sure if i should line my compass at 296* or 300*.

You are looking at the direction situation far too closely. The difference is only 4 degrees. When adjusting a common Tv antenna the true reading and the compass reading are for to get the antenna in the right direction. The the final turning of the antenna to the left and right is to find the sweet spot that receives the channels you will like to receive. And then you tighten the clamps at the sweet spot.

What is the antenna that you are using?? Yes I know that the KYES antenna point link is down. It looks like there server has been set for the KYES link to internet port 80. Internet port 80 is a port that is often used by spammers. The server/port needs to be changed to a different port. You can try typing the link address into google or yahoo or etc..
