Broke free from comcast... Need an antenna

Hey all,

first and formost I wanna thank you guys for any future help. My wife and I have been with comcast for 2 weeks now and we need some tv back in our lives. Lol it looks like my samsung pn58b550 has a DTV tuner built in, can't find my manual to verify but online said so and it was bought in 2010 but was an 09 model. Anyways I really only care about the basics to get us by like CBS, fox, abc, cw, ect. The network prime time shows are the ones we watch. Outside the major networks if we get then cool if not okay too.

I like in a one story house, suburban area so no buildings just homes. Got a few realitively large trees around my house and in my neighborhood prob not muh taller than 2 stories. My TV has windows to the side and extending behind it as well if that helps reception or anything.

I wasn't sure if I would need a outside antenna and would prefer to avoid one unless it would be needed. I do care about getting the prime networks with clear pictures not noisy or ghosty. If an indoor antenna may be okay which one is best?

Sorry for not knowing too much about the ota world as I have been only researching today. Here is the link to my tvfool report

on e again thank you.

Tv Antennas and Reception

Your location has a lot of channels to receive , the transmissions are very strong and a simple indoor antenna will receive real fine. http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=233 . Read and understand this about Real Digital Tv Channels and Virtual Digital Tv Channels. . http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=695 . Here is how to aim Tv antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html

Comcast now owns NBC with a 51% ownership and is making changes already the first move was to eleminate the NBC Peacock. Take away brand identity and rebrand under the commcast name. Every time some one pays their cable bill they make this possible. Comcast and the other big cable companies are moving to take away all your rights to watch Free Tv.

A simple loop/rabbit ears combination without amplifier (less than $15) should work OK. If that does not pan out, the Terk HDTVi (again, no amplifier) would be the next choice. Messing around with other designs would be a waste of time, as they are variations on one or the other of these antennas.
