antenna good....rotor bad

Hello all. Thanks for all the previous advice. I went with a DB 4 roof mounted. Seems to be very effective. Signal strengths are excellent, even when I tested it in the house. I chose an Eagle Aspen Rotor which worked great for one day. I went to use it the second day after I put it up only to find it was not working. The antenna signal is fine from the antenna, but the rotor does not turn. There are no obvious signs of damage and the control box seems to be working. I tried the normal range or resets and realignments but nothing happened. Anyone have any experience with these? I may just take it down and lock the antenna into the Boston towers.

What is the mast length above the rotor?

Might be a defective unit. I just found a post on another message board indicating the owner of an Eagle Aspen rotor had mounted a Channel Bastard CM 4251 7 foot parabolic dish on top of his rotor and it worked perfectly.

I put a small piece of conduit above the rotor, 15 inches perhaps.

In your estimation what is the problem or problems that the Eagle Aspen rotor has over others that are similarly priced? I've read some fairly decent reviews from customers that have used this model and most seem pleased with the build quality and performance.

the one wire was too good to resist.

on a side note we had some large swings in temp over the last few days. Over 50 during the day and teens at night. Any chance this caused the issue???
