sub channel & Dish Hopper issue

I have a problem with 1 local sub channel & dish Hopper w/sling dvr.

The ota feeds the dvr & the tv. One of my local sub channels functions properly on the tv, but trying to watch the same sub channel via the dvr, the picture is choppy with no sound. I have spoken to the the local station, they claim everything is fine on their end. The strange thing is that the other 2 channels for that station come I perfect using the dvr, no choppiness & plenty of sound.

Any suggestions from anyone?

Welcome to the forum, bnewt

Can you tell us what channels and subchannels you are talking about and show us a TVFool signal report?

You can do a report here:

Are you using AirTV?

It could be that the tuner in the TV is more sensitive to weak signals.

bnewt,

This is not going to be an antenna reception issue. Most likely, there something just a bit misconfigured in the way the station is broadcasting that particular sub-channel and the firmware/software inside your receiver system is choking on it. Your best source of help will be to work with DISH to see if they can figure it out.

Good luck, you'll likely have difficulty finding someone within their support organization who both understands the issue and can get it figured out. It will probably require several levels of support escalation.
