Ottawa, ON newbie question(s)

Hey,

New to the OTA game, but I cancelled my cable a couple years ago and the wife is starting to get bored with our finite amount of TV, so OTA is the way to go

I'm planning on roof-mounting an antenna, Winegard HD7698P, and probably point it ESE, towards the majority of my signals. The signals to my NNW are only 16 miles away, I'm assuming I can pick those up with the back of most roof-mounted antennas, right?
Here's my info: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...13496d2b308321

For my in-house setup, I have 3 TVs in the house:
1. Basement TV, direct hook up to MediaPC using Win 7 XBMC
2. Bedroom TV, connected to MediaPC using WDTV Live
3. Nursery TV, not connected to anything, yet (incoming baby in 2 months - minimal usage)

For receivers, I'm planning on buying a TiVo HD and a PCI receiver for my Media PC.

My confusion comes when I think of how I'm going to feed the signal to all my TVs in the house.

Essentially... here's what I want.

Antenna > splitter > TIVO & MediaPC > TVs

Or is it more like

Antenna > Splitter > TIVO1
> TIVO2
> MediaPC

If you don't have trees or large buildings between you and the stations, I would mount an RCA ANT751 above your roof line. This antenna can be mounted on a satellite "J" pole, such as the Winegard DS3000. Aim either 355 or 129 magnetic. See if one works better than the other. Use a Channel Master 3414 distribution amplifier. This has four outputs. Use a 75 ohm terminator to plug the one that is not in use. This will provide for expansion of your system, or use a single output amplifier and a three way splitter.
