Suggestions wanted

I am cutting the DirecTv cord and going with a combination of OTA and streamming... I got the streamming part down and ready to takle OTA...

First off here is my TV Fool report

I am interested in receiving the stations from 3 to 9 degree magnetic as well as the stations from the 225 to 227 degree magnetic... I understand this will require a rotor or dual systems...

I am aware of the closer tower at 104 degree magnetic...That tower is owned by the county to translate and rebroadcast only the major (ie. ABC, CBS, NBC, & PBS) channels from the 214 degree stations... This tower is very low power, broadcasts at 480i, and does not include any sub channels from the parent broadcast... I rather try to pick up these broadcasts directly...

The coax runs would be approx. 75 foot from the antenna to the distribution point (a CM-3414) and then another 20 to 50 foot to the TVs...

Any suggestions you might have to help in my situtation...

Thanks in advance!!!

The Digital Tv stations are 85+ miles away , with 2 edge and tropo path obstructions , The Only Way to find out if Reliable Reception will happen is install antennas and try it.

Put Antennas Direct , New DB8e Ultra long range UHF Antenna to the test.

Install a DB8e , both panels , aimed at about 226 degree magnetic compass direction.

Install a Winegard YA1713 VHF high band antenna aimed at about 226 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Connect the 2 antennas with a UVSJ = UHF/VHF - Separator/Joiner.

Type the letters uvsj in the , http://solidsignal.com , search box.

Connect the DB8e antenna to the UHF connection of the UVSJ.

Connect the YA1713 to the VHF connection of the UVSJ.

The YA1713 antenna on the bottom and DB8e antenna above separated by about 2 or 3 feet on the same mast.

Connect a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp to the remaining connection of the UVSJ.

Recommend do not use the CM3414 distribution amplifier.

To Prove reception , recommend connect to only 1 Tv at first.

No splitters.

As always , the starting aim direction of a antenna is the --> starting aim direction of a antenna.

Most Digital Tv's have a signal strength meter and some Digital Tv's also have a signal quality meter.

Here are places to buy antennas and etc. http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com.

Most likely the strong signal strength Digital Tv stations to the north and east will be received at , back and back angles to the , DB8e and YA1713 antennas.
