Why can't I receive this channel?

I'm trying to get channel 45 Fox from Baltimore with no success (0% signal). But channel 54 CW comes in with (94% signal) and is at the same location.
Could someone please explain this to me. Thanks, Jim

You are getting a weaker signal from WBFF than WNUV because of less transmitted power & a more directional signal. You will need a very high gain antenna like a 91-XG with a highly tolerant preamp like the Winegard HDP-269 for any chance of receiving WBFF reliably.

Thanks for that info. I didn't think it would be that much difference in power but sounds like it is.

Look at your report closely. While true that there's only 3dB difference between the two stations at your location, it's unfortunately near the threshold of reception. If both stations were only 15 miles away with line-of-sight clearance, you would never notice the difference.

45 from Baltimore is on real channel 46. WPMT is on channel 47 and 77 db stronger than WBFF. To pick up WBFF you'd need a sharp tuned channel 46 filter prior to any amplification.

Model 14584D is the right choice.
