Little signal strength advantage to going higher then 40 feet above ground with antenna and about 25 feet above ground is about the same signal signal strength as 40 feet above ground with antenna.
I recommend installing antennas at about 25 feet or more above ground.

Recommend install a Channel Master CM4228HD antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of , South East and South.
Aim the CM4228HD antenna at about 120 degree magnetic compass direction.
The Most number of Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels are the Shreveport Area stations.
And the Tyler/Longview Area has 3 Tv stations that can be received , KLTV ABC , KFXK FOX and MyNetwork , KCEB Me-Tv .
So the situation is aim the HD4228HD antenna to receive some of the Tyler/Longview stations without losing reception of the Shreveport stations.
The HD4228HD antenna aim can be adjusted for best reception.
Most digital Tv's have a signal strength meter and some digital Tv's also have a signal quality meter.

Connect the HD4228HD antenna and the HD8800 antenna together with a Winegard CC7870 , (Hybrid) transformer coupled antenna combiner.
Make the coaxes that connect the antennas to the combiner , the same length.
((Some times reception of the 2 antennas can be improved by (transposing) reversing the 300 ohm connection of the matching transformer (balun) that connects to the HD8800 antenna. Has to do with matching the antenna's phasing.))

I am being Very Clear , the CM4228HD is aimed to the , South East/South , and the HD8800 is aimed the , North East.
The CM4228HD is a better antenna then the HD8800 for reception of UHF channels 40 and below.
The Shreveport PBS , UHF channel is 24.
The Shreveport Area Tv stations are Very Weak Signal Strength .
The Oklahoma PBS is a little stronger the the Shrevport PBS so aim the HD8800 at the Oklahoma PBS.

Install a Winegard LNA-100 'Boost' antenna system amplifier between the CC7870 and the Tv and/or splitter.
