Help w/ Reception: Any Hope in Danville, CA?

Hi,

I am thinking of installing an Antennas Direct 91XG unit in the attic of my 2 story house with a pre-amp (not sure which one yet).

Would I be able to get any local channels (Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC) with this setup? Any recommendations on a setup that may work?

Thanks so much for your help!

Here is a link to my signal analysis:

The short answer is "no". Your odds of success are probably close to zero, especially in an attic. Out of the attic and with the best available gear, not too much better. You're back in a valley that won't allow much signal to get to your location.

Undoubtedly an attic antenna installation is not going to work.
It appears you live near Tassajara, CA.
If you are willing to experiment with a roof antenna you might
wish to try:RCA ANT3036WZ Outdoor 30 Element 113 1/4 - Inch Boom Antenna
available on Amazon for under $70.00 or
RCA ANT3036WR Outdoor Digital Television Antenna UHF VHF FM 110" Boom
available on Ebay for under $60.00. You'll need to keep the cable run of
RG6 50 feet or less. You'll need at least two people, one to move the antenna
around the roof and another to watch the tv signal meter, if you have one.
Goof Luck and be patient!

Thank you for your valuable inputs. I really appreciate it.

I do see a hill directly west of our house, so I believe that our line of sight to the broadcast towers in SF is pretty dismal. Thanks for confirming my initial thought that my chances of getting good signal are very slim.
