Setting Up New Antenna

I have been using a Mohu Leaf 50 in the house and it does well; In fact it does better than the ANT751 that I purchased to replace it and have in the attic. My question, is there a way to maybe increase the reception with the ANT751 in the attic or should I just stay with the Leaf 50?

Would a preamp help? I may move it outside and I know this will help, but wonder how much.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Here is my signal map: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...8e0301a2346754

Outside as high as you can get it will "almost always" be better than in an attic. Roofing material and insulation can bounce/block signals in strange ways. Makes it very hard if not impossible to predict what you will get.

Thanks for the reply...

That is understood, but the HOA has rules. I may be able to set it outside where no one will really notice it, but would like to try to make it work in the attic first.

The FCC also has rules that say that you CAN, in many cases, have an antenna outside not matter what the HOA says:
