Your report looks like it should be fairly easy to get good reception.
It's possible that a simple set top antenna will suffice... Though I'd be inclined to install an outdoor antenna to avoid the interference found inside just about every home. Antennas such as the RCA ANT-751R and Antennas Direct CS2-V come to mind for applications like this.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
