Does any one know if there is any antenna available in the market with can catch multidirectional (50-60 mile range) both VHF and UHF signal? Can some one tell me if any other attachment is good to have with that antenna?
below is my spectrum.

Tv Reception.

A simple reception situation.

---->> Many , many , many , many , Tv stations/channels will be received. <<----

For reception of Digital Tv Channels in the Green and Yellow reception zones of the tvfool radar map channel list.

Install a Winegard HD7000R antenna Above the roof aimed at about 70 degree magnetic compass.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com ,http://www.winegarddirect.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.channelmasterstore.com.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter No amplifier.

For 2 Tv's connected use a simple common 2 way splitter , No amplifier.

For 3 or 4 Tv's connected use a Channel Master CM3414 distribution amplifier.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Broadcast Tv Channels sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Tv Reception.

----> If you must have <---- the Tv stations/channels in the Red reception zone , in all other directions.

Please note the Tv stations/channels are Much Weaker of Signal Strength and have Co-Channel and Adjacent Channel interference issues.

For reception install a Winegard HD7084P antenna on a Channel Master CM9521A antenna rotor to rotate the antenna aim to other directions around the compass to receive the weaker Tv transmissions.
Also install a CM3410 distribution amplifier.

This HD7084P setup , Will Not be connected to the HD7000R antenna setup on to the same coax.

The 2 antenna systems Will be Separate antenna systems.

Please note that a Tv antenna on a antenna rotator is not channel surfing friendly , must wait for antenna to rotate.

Need multidirectional antenna with UHF and VHF

THanks for reply. But the issue with both the models is they are unidirectional hence I would not be able to get signal from other station at 18/21 or 288 degrees. the issue with rotor is each time when you ant to see that channel you need to rotate the antenna, problem is at our home they don't know how to do that and it is hassle

The HD7000R is not nearly as directional as you might think. It's actually a very good fit for the situation shown on your report. Please consider that single word descriptions of an antenna often fall quite short of describing the technical capability of the product.

Thanks for reply. But I don't see very good reviews for HD7000R and also not many people buying that (its very old model).. is there any newer version of similar model?

Tv Reception.

Most Tv antenna reviews are anecdotal reviews .

Wow thats a great antenna.

The "Most Popular selling" antenna is the correct antenna , because , it is the most popular selling.

I'm getting all the channels now.

It sure is better then the XYZ antenna I had before.

Sally said that Omar said that Lucky Lou said that she over heard John say that the Supper Blaster Antenna is a good buy at $69.95.

Let's consider this from another perspective.

Whether you realize it or not, you enjoy one of the best locations for reception of free television programming in the world. I've seen a few reception predictions better than yours... but very few. Much of the programming is broadcast in HD. You don't need an unusual or expensive antenna. The HD7000R and it's larger variations will all provide remarkable results.

However, if you want to get every possible signal, the HD7084P equipped with a rotator will enable you to enter into the DXing hobby. But, I would expect that after the novelty wore off, the antenna would end up parked, aimed at the Empire State Building for the majority of it's working life.

Consider too, a product you're very familiar with, one you feel qualified to review at length. When you read other reviews, aren't you amazed at both the competence and incompetence of individual reviews? The more technical and specialized the product, the more likely you'll find reviews by individuals who lack the knowledge and experience to select and use the product, let alone write about it. Such reviews are almost always negative... I suspect because the reviewer is inclined to blame shift, as an attempt to protect their ego. I would pay attention to reviews that demonstrate an understanding of how antennas and TV signals work. I would put aside reviews that are written by people who selected the antenna for looks, because it worked for a friend somewhere else, or similar methods that show no understanding of real channels, signal levels & directional diversity that will be present at their receiving location.

Was there an antenna that you were hoping we would recommend?

Lastly, each day that passes with out installing an antenna is a day you're missing out on high quality, free reception. If nothing else, try a simple, inexpensive VHF/UHF non-amplified indoor antenna (but for just a few dollars more, the HD7000R will serve very well).

The HD7084P was mentioned earlier. However, a tower or pushup mast is also worth considering... if the 7000 fails at lower levels.
