A simple reception situation. Install a Winegard HD7696P antenna with a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp above the roof aimed at about 260 degree magnetic compass. Here is how aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. All of these digital Tv stations/channels will be received , NBC , CBS , ABC , FOX , ION , PBS , The CW , MyNetwork , Retro Tv Network , This Tv , Live Well Network , local weather. Here are some roof antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com , buy the ronard mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box or buy from ronard. Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.antennasdirect.com . Use RG-6 for coax wiring.

Mount the antenna about 6 feet above the roof will be ok if there are no big thick dense trees close to the east south east direction or big buildings that will reduce the antennas reception. How many Tv's are/will be connected??

There are 3 tv's attached. I got an antenna and we pick up a few channels with it, but can't get many and I read on this forum somewhere that the one I got isn't very good I am amazed how good the picture is, we had directv and the picture wasn't as clear.

The HD7696P antenna and CPA-19 preamp will supply signal to three Tv's. Use a 3 way splitter.

Cheap China Junk. If you are going to use it then mount the CCJ Above The Roof aimed at about 260 degree magnetic compass. I Strongly Recommend install what I have recommended.

I'm confident you'll have far greater success with the Winegard suggested by Electron.

as with everything right now, money is tight.... i brought this antenna 8 months ago without doing much research. Didn't cut the cable until last week. So have just been messing with it. If I hadn't gotten the channels today from the relocation I would have had to break down, I will put your suggestions on my wish list on amazon. And as soon as this breaks down or I have the extra $$ I will change it out. I do appreciate your time and suggestions.

As a test , at the swap meet , I put out a Cheap China Junk antenna and a Real Honest Tv Antenna. The people were drawn to the Cheap China Junk Antenna like Iron to a magnet and did not give the Real Honest Tv Antenna a second look. People like , Ego , Attitude , Flash , Faux Pride , Faux Claims , Faux Promises , Pie in the Sky.
