Help choosing an antenna in AZ

Cutting the cord. Need help choosing the best antenna for my location. Too many choices out there, and not understanding the numbers, makes it more difficult to choose.

Details:

Primarily looking for an attic antenna (if needed). Rooftop or other is ok, but I'd like to avoid if not required or overkill. Home is the typical stucco on wood frame, with concrete tile roof.

Can someone verify the tvfool report and recommend a few antenna choices? Will probably also stream services through ATV/Roku. Not sure if this makes a difference.

We have a single HDTV in the living room. Nothing else.

Total newbie here. Technically challenged. Wiring diagrams and the like drive my ADD through the roof.

A Simple reception situation.

Stucko ->Wire<- impedes and blocks Tv reception.

Concrete roof tiles do reduce reception.

If have a choice , I recommend aim the antenna through the concrete roof tiles.

Start with a Antenna Craft HBU33 antenna in the attic aimed at about 200 degree magnetic compass direction.

Install a Winegard , LNA-100 'Boost' , antenna system amplifier.

Most newer houses have a electrical outlet in the attic to plug the LNA-100 amplifier into.

If reception situation/problems happen in the attic and are not resolvable by adjusting antenna aim and locations in the attic.

Then install the HBU33 above the roof in such a manner that reception is not impeded and blocked by the roof and house in the directions of , South West , South east.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a simple common 2 way splitter.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the , OTA=Over The Air , Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some Digital Tv's will Automatic channel scan for cable tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Go into the Tv Setup Menu and select 'Air Channels' ~ 'Antenna Channels'.

Scan for channels.
