Antenna Advice Amherstview Ontario

Hello I need some antenna advice:

to start here's my link:

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...46ae43fb755b11

I do not have anything set up currently in the home. Also don't want anything outside, so I'm planning on hiding it in the attic. There will be one layer of asphalt shingles in all directions (hip roofline). Cable needs to run to basement where TV will be located approximately 20 ft down, but approximately 30ft of cable needed to reach.

I would like to receive:
CKWS-TV
CJOH-TV-6
WWNY-TV
WPBS-DT
WWTI-DT
CICO-DT-53
CIII-TV-2 (hoping to get this one)

Could I reliably get more channels?

The signals are coming in from different directions, so I will need multidirectional antenna?

The price is not really a huge issue, I just want something that is no fuss and works reliably. That being said, I don't want to spend a fortune either

Any advice?

P.S. I would like to get this all figured out before the Winter Olympics start.

Any help would be appreciated.

Looking at the Tvfool channel list for Canada and USA , Digital Current Plus Pending Applications Included Broadcast Tv stations/channels in the Green and Yellow reception zones , install a ANT751 above the roof in such a manner that the roof and building do not obstruct and block reception in the directions of , South East , South , West , North West.

Aim the ANT751 at about 130 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Old School magnetic compass to aim antenna.

Thanks teleview, it is a requirement that the antenna is inside the attic.

Does this change anything?

You will get fewer channels, and you will need a higher gain antenna.

For an attic, a Winegard HD7698P or Antenna craft HBU55 pointed at 123 magnetic.

For VHF-low 2 and 6, get a Y5-2-6, point it somewhere between 268 magnetic and 336 magnetic, and combine it with the 123 magnetic antenna with a HLSJ, and hope for the best; be ready to experiment.

Also do , stvcmty's recommendation of installing a second antenna , the Y5-2-6 antenna.

Use the HLSJ , High Band - Low Band - Seperator -Joiner , to combine the ANT751 and Y5-2-6.

Install antennas above the roof.
