Attic or roof? Directional spread on Yagi?

Hey there, thanks in advance for reading.

Just wondering if I could get away with an attic antenna, or if I should go straight for roof top?

Any recommendations? Should I be looking at two antennas?

For the southern stations, would one directional antenna work, or is that too great a spread?

I'm here -> http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...7b4c8fd6ef9e13

Street view -> https://maps.google.com/?ll=48.02012...45.54,,0,-2.74

Thanks again for the help!

As always , attics and the inside of buildings Are Not a reception friendly environment and Never Will Be a reception friendly environment.

Multi-path/reflections bouncing all around , absorbing , blocking , Broadcast Tv reception.

Yes start with a Antenna Craft HBU44 in the attic aimed at about 180 degree magnetic compass direction , South.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

If reception issues happen that are not resolvable by adjusting the antenna aim direction and location in the attic.

Then move/install the HBU44 antenna to Above The Peak Of The Roof in such a manner that the roof and house are not impeding and blocking Broadcast Tv reception to the , South East , South , South West , North West.

___________

Install a Winegard LNA-100 'Boost' antenna system amplifier.

___________

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a simple common 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a simple common 3 way splitter.

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative effect on Broadcast Tv reception and so do buildings including your own roof and house and other obstructions.

The Best Practice is to install a antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own roof and house.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the , OTA=Over The Air , Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some digital tv's will Automatic channel scan for cable tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Go into the Tv Setup Menu and select 'Air Channels' ~ 'Antenna Channels'.

Scan for channels.
