Advice for dwblessed6

I appreciate this site and thank you for accepting me. I am not sure about all this but made the decision to stop paying ever increasing cable bills. I will try to post link to what I got on this site for channels (I think that is what it means) I can get. I am wondering if I need a rotor to turn this antenna and whether this is the best antenna for me. Also, do I need this amplifier?

In case the link does not open to the correct results, my area code is 28612.

I am female and hope I can get this figured out. Hoping to use my satellite area to hook up this antenna.
