Clearstream 2max in attic

Has anyone had luck with Clearstream 2max in the attic. The direction it needs to go will be facing the end of a gable and will have to penetrate osb and siding. I would rathere go this route. Also if using an amplifier, would I put the entire amplifier in the and tricks then split after the power source to amplifier?
