Phoenix and ION Channel 51

ION did mention they are changing equipment, however I still do not get there channel. It was one of the stronger channel we received. Same antenna and no change at this location. Did they change ant. location??
Is anyone else having this problem??

I did write to ION and I haven't heard from them yet.

Your best bet is to simply pick up the phone and call the station, assuming they even have a local number.

KPPX is in the process of moving from channel 51 to channel 31. As part of that process, they're installing a side-mount antenna lower down on their tower so that they can continue operating at (greatly) reduced power on channel 51 while their main antenna and transmission system is converted from channel 51 to channel 31.

I have no idea where they are in that process, the station engineer would best be able to inform you if you're able to get in contact with him (good luck with that).

The cell phone transmitters are invading the channels above 51; a preview of future problems:

Band 12 is being tested in Downtown Phoenix, AZ finally!
http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...ix-AZ-finally!

Band 12 is called the 700a MHz band (699 – 716, 729 – 746), and is most used by T-Mobile now

TV channel 51 is 692-698 MHz.

I wonder if a 4G-LTE filter would help you.

TVFOOL lists KPPX on real channel 51, but rabbitears.info and the FCC have it on real channel 31.

Have you tried a double rescan?
