Kabc la

I was wondering if anyone else has had problems recently with receiving KABC? It had been coming in fine for years here at my house in the South Bay. In the last couple of weeks, it's stopped coming in.

It would be interesting and helpful to see your TV Fool reception report.

Hi,

I am pasting it below. I have to admit that I'm not very knowledgable about reception. From looking over the report, it seems as thought some of the stations that seem to have similar characteristics come in well, others not at all: 2, 4, 28, 50 are all pretty good, but 9 and 13 don't come in at all.

Thanks very much!

Check All outside connections. If water has inter any of the connections , then you can be sure that the water has traveled up into the length of the inside of the coax and the coax is now trash.

Use the Compression type coax connectors outside not the crimp type.

The compression type connectors are a much better seal to prevent water damage.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a good job of , multipath/reflecting , absorbing , blocking , Digital Broadcast Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and house.

It is best to install the HD7082P antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own roof and house.

The directions of reception at your location are , north west , north , north east.

______

The Tv's Must Channel Scan for the , OTA= Over The Air , Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the , 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some Digital Tv's will automatic channel scan for cable tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Go into the Tv Setup Menu and select , 'Air Channels' / 'Antenna Channels'.
