WBRZ and WBXH in Baton Rouge, LA

WBRZ's (real Ch. 13) virtual channel is not shown. It is Ch. 2. That was their real channel since their sign-on in 1955. And WBXH is incorrectly shown as Ch. 32. That should be Ch. 39, both real and virtual.

Hello, Broadcastguy2015

Welcome to the forum.

That is true. TVFool reports always list the real (AKA physical) channel, but often do not include the virtual (AKA display) channel. I doubt that policy will change.

WBXH will be moving to real channel 32 as a result of UHF Repack. The FCC gave 39 to cellular interests as a result of a reverse auction of channels 38-51.

Hello, rabbit73. Thanks for the welcome and the information.

I brought up WBRZ because it's the only full-power station in Baton Rouge whose virtual channel was not given in either my Signal Analysis Report or the Transmitter Profile Detail, so I just assumed giving both real and virtual was the norm for all TV markets. It seems to me that it ought to be.

As for WBXH being scheduled to move from Ch. 39 to Ch. 32, I had no idea. I did know the FCC was talking about removing another block of UHF channels from broadcast TV use, but I didn't realize how far along in the process they were.

Thanks again for the information.
