Start with the antenna facing due east per a compass.

Antennacraft published specifications for the U8000 claim 12.0 dBd gain. KEYT is predicted to be almost 16 dB below the theoretical level needed to 'see' it. The gain of the U8000 puts you at about -4 dB NM, The noise figure of an amplifier will make that worse, not better. The Antennas Direct CPA-18 and CPA-19 have noise figures of 2 dB or less, That would give you a net NM of -6 dB... You won't see KEYT with that antenna at that height.

To receive KEYT, you need a tower to get over the mountains. The enormous (155 lbs, 8' H X 16' W) Wade PB-82-BB claims 21 to 25 dBi of gain... That would theoretically put you in a position to 'see' KEYT... but I would expect reception to be on the edge at best.

Do you have OTA reception at your location? If so, have you considered sharing your antenna via products such as Sling Box or a HTPC that is accessible via a VPN connection over the internet?

Tv Antennas and Reception

FOR NOW. For the strongest reception at the Tv. Have only one Tv connected. No splitters.

Tv Antennas and Reception

To see if signal strengths increase to more usable strength. Like KEYT ABC from the Very Low -15.8 NM (dB) to a stronger signal of , say , - 5.0 NM (dB) or better yet , + 5.0 NM (dB) . Make two more radar plots at , 60 feet and 100 feet. Also you can go to the , >>Start MAPS<< part of tvfool and move the pointer around and change the height of the receive location to improve the reception. . Tv antennas receive the best when Nothing is blocking reception. The more the signal is blocked by , mountains , hills , buildings , trees , and etc. . the less will be received.
