Need suggestions for wind resistant antenna

Building a home on top of a large hill. We regularly get 50-60mph winds, and can get quite gusty during thunderstorms. Willing to pay for something as indestructible as possible.

Only looking for coverage of main channels: ABC, CBS, NBC, and possibly FOX.

My tvfool report is here:

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Robert

Simple, effective DTV reception solutions

The TriplePlay antenna or the DTV-2D from will survive the elements on your hill and provide great reception.

The TriplePlay is for DTV/cell reception. The DTV-2D is for DTV only. www.tripleplayantenna.com

Good point. Since we're at it, combining a cellular antenna (or booster) AND AM/FM antenna would also be beneficial.

i.e., if I could do it all in 1, that'd be preferable (less wind profile). Any other suggestions?

Thanks

->ALL<- Questions and Answers about Broadcast Tv Reception and More.

The following is a Teleview recommendation for digital broadcast Tv reception.

A Simple reception situation.

The listed Digital Tv stations/channels , NBC , ABC ,
CBS , PBS , FOX , and , many , many , many , more will be received because the Tv signals are strong. The Digital Tv stations/channels list down to and including WRTN , Retro Tv Network and TUFF TV the Tv channel for Tuff men and PBJ and Classic shows - Movies.

Install a Winegard HD7694P antenna with no preamplifier above the roof aimed at about 20 degree magnetic compass direction.

The HD part of the HD7694P , means Heavy Duty.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

For 1 Tv connection use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a common simple 2 way splitter.

Here are some Strong and Sturdy antenna mounts. http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

The ronard antenna mounts are heavy gauge alloy steal and put together with real heavy gauge nuts and bolts.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a fine good job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions.

It is best to locate the antenna at a location that has the least amount to know amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the direction of reception.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.
