Antenna reccomendations

Link to my report: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...134957e3f72100

I was looking at Antennas Direct DB8. Would I be able to pull in all of the US channels and PBS with this? Plan to use a 10 foot 1.5" galvanized steel post as a mast and attach it to my brick chimney. Mounted like this this antenna would be about 20-25' above ground. I estimate I would need about 75-100 feet of RG6 cabling to run to the TV in the basement.

I think the DB8 will have too narrow a forward beam. The new DB4e has very similar gain but wider forward beam specifications. Start with a beginning aim point of about 190° compass.

If you want to go after the signal from WVNY-ABC, you'll be needing to use an Antennacraft Y10713 or possibly a horizontally stacked pair due to the co-channel interference from CFCF on CH-12.

All questions and answers about Tv recepteion.

Install a ANT751 antenna above the roof aimed at about 170 degree magnetic compass. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

The ANT751 will receive all directions.

Here are places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.saveandreplay.com , http://www.trentondistributors.com. Have chimney mounts.

WVNY Real VHF channel 13 is the weakest of the receivable American stations. If WVNY is not received install a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp.

Will I be able to get the PBS channels with a DB4-E? It's still on backorder but due to be in stock later this week. Do I need to ground this antenna and if so how? Plan to buy a 40" J Mount and attach to the roof peak.

WETK (PBS) should be receivable with the DB4e when the antenna is properly aimed.
