need to change amp

Hey guys, has anyone here ever used a Kitztech KT-100VG amplifier?

Right now I have a Winegard 7084P antenna connected to an old Radio Shack 15-1168 amplifier (amp is under the roof of a shed) before feeding into a ground block and then my 200 ft Dish Network cable with diplexers at each end and a couple splitters inside the house. I couldn't figure out how to use a pre-amp in this situation because the dish lnb is powered from inside the house. Anyway, this works most of the time, but sometimes I get some signal drops on my TV. I believe this is probably due to the 6 or 7 db (maybe even more) noise figure on the old amp. The signal in the house is almost as good (but not quite) without the amp.

The K-100 specs say it has a noise figure of 1 db or less across the band, and an adjustable gain from 0 - 20 db. If that's true, then I should be able to replace my old Radio Shack amp and get as good a signal inside as I do at the antenna.

If no one has used the KT-100, then does anyone have a suggestion for a good low noise amp?
