I am looking to get this antenna to be install in attic.

http://www.antennasdirect.com/store/DB8_HD_Antenna.html

about the antenna
"Intended for people at great distances from the transmitters"

***Can it be used for a close transmitters as well????
***where should I point the antenna to get the most channels????
***Any better known antenna for my location (recommendations)????
***I will be not able to rotate the antenna after installation

The DB8 is a good choice for your reception. I would add a Winegard AP 8700 preamplifier.

Aim to 334 degrees magnetic. No need to rotate.
