Revisiting 92120

Thank you very much for your suggestions (http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=7126) some years ago. I never got around to installing the outdoor antenna at that time. I am very motivated now but am finding that the models suggested are no longer being made.

Fresh report:
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...e6a46cd53081cf

Could you please recommend models of antennas that are current.

Thanks,
~Vamsi

Unfortunately, no one antenna will work well for most or
all of your major stations. I'd recommend a 4 bay UHF
antenna like the MCM Electronics 30-2425 which is on
clearance for only $18.00 aimed BETWEEN Mt Helix and
your T.J. stations. I would recommend the MCM Elec.
30-2475 VHF Hi antenna aimed at La Jolla, KFMB and
KGTV. You really shouldn't need any amplification.
Before you mount, be sure to test the antennas performance
in the location you prefer. You may need to move up,
down or a few feet either way to get all your stations.
Don't forget to ground your system!

Thank you Joe. Ordered the antennas /uvsj / ground block / 75 ohm cable / grounding cable.

Will update the thread when install is completed.

Great!

A couple more things to keep in mind. Keep it simple, especially
at first. If you have a set with a signal meter, I would suggest
you connect one antenna with 50 feet of RG6 Cable through a
door or window. One person watches the TV/meter and the other
is on the roof, moving the antenna about, looking for the best signal.
Repeat the same for the other antenna. Antennas should be
kept at least 5 feet apart. You can achieve this by using a 10 ft
or greater mast or using two mounts, one for each antenna.
Hope this helps.......
