Son of a.....

beep.

Posted a while ago about my issues with Fox. Lately though, been able to get it without an issue. Still comes in much better on one tv than the other, but I think that is an issue with my tv's tuner.

Yesterday, watching Jeopardy on the weaker tv. I live near an above-ground train and when it goes by, I usually lose the signal, but only for a second or two and it comes back. Last night, hear train, signal goes but doesn't come back. Wait a minute, still nothing. Turned off tv, tried changing channels, still nothing. After about 3 minutes, change channels and NBC is coming in fine, same for CBS. Basically everything except Fox (WNYW) and ABC. Do a channel scan. TV doesn't even detect 5-1 (WNYW-HD), 5-2 (movies). Detects 7-1 (ABC-HD), but doesn't come in. Didnt check this morning. Went to the tv upstairs, and everything is fine.

Here's my original thread. Wife is home today, just texted her. Said ABC has not been working all morning. Doubt it is because of the snow since it wasn't snowing when it went out yesterday and we haven't had any problems with reception during inclement weather.

Any chance you can try the downstairs TV upstairs to verify it is actually a tuner issue?

Would be a pain in the neck to do that, since the downstairs is wall mounted, but guess I could over the weekend.

Ugh, do you have a digital analog converter box you can use to test or maybe bring the upstairs TV downstairs?

Don't have a digital analog converter box. Upstairs tv is much bigger. Will be easier to take downstairs tv off the wall.
