As always , trees and tree leaves do a good job of , reflecting , reducing . blocking , Digital Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and house.
It is best to install a antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own roof and house.
The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , often named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna CHannels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.
Some Digital Tv's will automatic channel scan for cable tv channels.
DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.
Go into the Tv setup menu and select , Digital Broadcast , 'Air Channels' / 'Antenna Channels'.

If you will like to receive the Madison area Broadcast Tv channels , then install a complete Second antenna system that is the same as the first antennas system.
Separate the 2 antennas by about 3 feet on the same mast.
The 2 Separate antenna systems Will Not be connected together on to 1 coax.
The 2 Separate antenna systems will be separate All the way to the location/s of the Tv/s.
At each Tv location a , Remote control A/B antenna switch will be installed so as to switch from Milwaukee to Madison and Madison to Milwaukee.
