A simple reception situation.

Many , many , many , Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels will be received.

Looking at the Pending Applications Included Digital tvfool channel list , the digital broadcast tv stations/channels in the , Green , Yellow , Red , reception zones down the channel list , to and including WQPX-TV REAL UHF Digital channel 48 , virtual number (56.1-2-3) ION and Qubo and ION Life , should be received.

Above the Peak of the roof install a Winegard HD7696P antenna above roof aimed at about 185 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts.

http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , install the 5 foot antenna tripod.

http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , install the #4560 eave antenna mount.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box or buy from ronard.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.winegarddirect.com.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter. No amplifier.

For 2 Tv's connected use a simple common 2 way splitter. No amplifier.

For 3 Tv's connected use a simple common 3 way splitter. No amplifier.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a good job of , reflecting , absorbing , blocking , Digital Broadcast Tv transmissions and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and house.

It is best to install the HD7696P antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the direction of reception including your own roof and house.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the , OTA= Over The Air , Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv Setup Menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some Digital Tv's will automatic channel scan for cable tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Go into the Digital Tv Setup Menu and select the , 'Air Channels' / 'Antenna Channels'.

If you currently have any type or kind of Active Pay cable services , be it cable tv service , cable internet service , cable phone service , the Antenna Can Not Be Connected to the the same coax that the active services are on.

Yes the coaxes that are in or on the house can be used for the antenna system.

But no active cable service such as cable internet service can be connected to the antenna system coax.

Any cable services must be connected to separate coax.
