Antenna help

I bought the ANT751/752Z from Menards and installed it at my dads house last weekend. It's about 30' off the ground and I also installed a rotor with it. He picks up a few more stations than what he was getting. He can't get WPXD but can get WJBK. He can't get anything past WJBK.
I thought about building him a McLapp 4 bay like I have but I'm afraid it wouldn't do very well on VHF. I can get 1 VHF station most of the time where I'm located even though it's LOS.
I really don't want to go back to a giant antenna like he had before.
Any suggestions?

You do not mention how close and how tall trees are to your home
and antenna. That is very important. Are there any other obstructions
to the antenna? How long is your cable run? Are you using RG6 cable?
The antenna is a good "little" performer but cannot compare to the
larger antennas in terms of gain and directivity. You may well need to
think larger in terms of your antennas.....
