Antenna recommendation in SE Idaho

Im cutting the cable. Problems reported from friends say they can't get local Fox and CBS ant the same time. CBS is 40 miles away. I'd like to receive both without adjusting it everytime. Im looking for local only.Here is my data.

A Simple reception situation.

Install a , http://www.antennacraft.net.

HBU11K antenna aimed at about 186 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna , do not trust a cell phone compass.

The aim direction will receive all the channels you will like to receive , And More , and will also receive , KXPI-LD Real UHF channel 34 , FOX and MyNetwork.

The directions of reception at your location are , North West , East , South South West.

Install the HBU11K antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception.

Trees and tree leaves obstruct reception.

A antenna system amplifier will most likely not be required for 1 or 2 Tv's connected.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a 2 way splitter.

That doesn't make any sense since both networks are carried on the same stations. If one is received, the other must also be received unless the receiver's settings are awry.

BTW, the TVFool listing for KFXP as Fox is incorrect. That station is most recently shown as being silent (off the air) and is undergoing a change of ownership.

Thanks for your reply. The local Fox affiliate used to be managed by the local NBC afilliate in my town. It now appears to be managed by the ABC affiliate in Idaho Falls.

Maybe that is why he couldnt get both at the same time. I dont know.

Directional antennas such as and not limited to the HBU11K antenna receive the best in the forward direction.

A little less at front angles to the antenna.

Less at back angles to the antenna.

Less at the back of the antenna.

And receive the least amount of signal directly on the sides of the antenna.

Your reception location is in the center of the radar plot with Tv stations in the directions of , North West , East , South South West.

Keeping in mind about how a directional antenna receives.

The Tv stations to the , North West and East are Strong signal strength.

The one Fox Tv station , KXPI , UHF channel 34 , is weaker signal strength , so aim the HBU11K antenna at about 186 degree magnetic compass direction.
