A fairly easy set-up.

Mount an RCA ANT751 on your roof or anywhere with a view to the East, 20 feet above the ground and clear of large trees or other buildings. Aim to 95 degrees magnetic and you should receive all of the major networks.

Tv Reception.

A simple reception situation.

Install a ANT751 antenna - Above The Roof - aimed at about 95 degree magnetic compass reading (east).

As always the starting antenna aim direction is --> the starting antenna aim direction.

The starting antenna aim direction is 95 degree magnetic compass , the antenna aim direction is then adjusted for best reception.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignl search box.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com.

As always antennas receive the best when nothing is crowding in to reduce or block reception.

Trees and tree leaves do a great job reducing and blocking reception.

Other buildings reduce and block reception.

Aiming the antenna in to the roof of your house will reduce and block reception.

Mount the antenna up high.

Mount the antenna were there is the least amount of objects in the the way of reception to the , east and north west.

Tv Reception.

For 1 Tv connected use no splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a Channel Master CM3412 distribution amplifier.

For 3 or 4 Tv's connected use a CM3414 distribution amplifier.

http://www.channelmasterstore.com.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for Broadcast Tv Channels sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Thanks guys for the great info. the only problem is im in a rental and the trees are about 30 feet above my house so i don't think i could mount a huge pole like that on a rental, i didn't know trees would effect reception. I was hoping i could just mount an antenna to the roof or side of the house and be done with it, is their an indoor antenna that kicks ass i could use or maybe the rca would still get some stations through trees? thanks so much

The signals at your location are very strong. The effect of the trees depends on the density and location. I would recommend that you go ahead with the ANT751 but be prepared to try it at various locations before you fasten it down.

Tv Reception.

Tv antennas are selected by evaluation of the reception situation.

There are no Kick antennas and there no Magic Tv antennas.
