Need Help: Barker, NY

Hello,

According to my TV Fool Reception report, CITY-TV in Toronto (RF Channel 44, Virtual 57.1) should come in very strong. Instead I can't get it to come in at all. I have a rooftop antenna on top of a two-story house. The antenna is relatively new having been installed in August 2003. These troubles have begun only recently. I have tried re-scanning my channels and using the TVFR. I have no idea what is causing these issues. Thank you in advance.

Hi - your link does not work.

Can you create the TVFool report, and give us that link?

That plot works, but is only resolved to the block level.

Try the instruction here for a more accurate plot:

What antenna do you have?

What direction is it pointed in?

Has anything in your setup changed?

Did you receive CITY-TV (RF Channel 44, Virtual 57.1) and then loose it? Or have you never received it?

What channels can you get? What channels do you want to get (in addition to CITY-TV)?

Is the antenna aimed at Toronto or Buffalo?

WNED on channel 43 might cause problems with CITY on channel 44 if the antenna is aimed at Buffalo.

JakeV and Tower Guy:

1) I'm not sure of the model.

2) It is on a rotor.

3) My current TV was purchased in February. However the rest of the system is unchanged from August 2003.

4) I used to be able to receive City until this summer. The antenna had to in the exact right position, but it would come in. Now it won't come in at all.

5) Other stations I get are WGRZ (Virtual 2, RF 33), WIVB (Virtual 4, RF 39), CBLT (Virtual 5, RF 20), WKBW (Virtual 7, RF 38), CFTO (Virtual and RF 9), WNED (Virtual 17, RF 43), CICA (Virtual and RF 19), CBLFT (Virtual and RF 25), WUTV (Virtual 29, RF 14), CJMT (Virtual and RF 40), CIII (Virtual and RF 41), CFMT (Virtual and RF 47), WNYO (Virtual and RF 49) and WPXJ (Virtual 51, RF 23).
