I suggest you use an inexpensive Mediasonic HW-130,(or HW-150 like I use) to find the best antenna aim for the best signal quality. Tyler the Antenna Man uses the HW-130 to make antenna comparisons.

Signal direction: Yes, apparently so. Just standing on the ground and holding my iPhone up, the antenna is now pointing about 12? to the east, off of due north.

From memory, it was probably at least that much to the west off of due north before, so quite a big shift of at least 24?.

I checked those links and Googled the model numbers you showed but I'm not sure what I'm looking at. They keep showing a "tuner." I assumed this was some kind of handheld gadget to find the strongest signal.
