It sounds as if your TV's are either set to "Cable" mode, and / or lack digital tuners.

If the sets have digital tuners, you'll need to use the set-up menu to change the tuner to "Air" or "Antenna" mode, then scan for channels.

Your TVFool report indicates the CS4 should do well for you. (Unless the roof is metal or covered with heavy wet snow)

Be absolutely certain that no cable company signal is connected to the antenna. If you connect an antenna to the cable company signal, you'll cause interference to aircraft, police, fire and other life safety services.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
