An east-facing window isn't going to be terribly predictable, your signals come from nearly the opposite direction. Consequently, you'd be relying on some combination of signal penetration as well as signal reflections. Neither are predictable, you'll get what you get.

I'd suggest trying one of our Eclipse stick-on antennas and experiment with it's location.
