I appreciate the suggestions, but I should have stated in my report that I live at an apartment building, so whatever antenna I put up should be discrete. The FV-HD30 was no bigger than the small abandoned sattelite dish it replaced on the front entrance awning (I re-used the same j-mount). I only needed to borrow a 10ft ladder to do the job myself.

I already get all 4 Canadian locals channels with no picture quality issues. I'm not too worried about the minor issues with analog channel 7 (CBC), because it will go off-air this summer or fall. It would be nice to be able to pull in CBC digital from Charlottetown (channel 13, 70 miles), but I'm afraid that's not feasible for my apartment-dwelling situation.

The OTA signal will be split and fed into my PC-based PVR, so a rotor would be undesirable.

Do you guys feel the 10% signal strength margin is not enough?
