As sometimes happens in hill and mountain areas (1 edge Path and 2 edge Path) Tv transmissions are better signal strength lower to the ground , the Earth and hill/mountains 'bend' the Tv signals downward.

The 10 foot antenna height has better signal strength then the 25 foot antenna height.

If possible , and still keep a Winegard HD7082P about 10 to 15 feet above ground , above the roof in such a manner that the roof and house are not blocking reception to the , east - south east.

Aim the Winegard HD7082P antenna with a Winegard HDP-269 preamp , at about 100 degree magnetic compass direction.

The HD7082P antenna is big antenna and as such , is a highly directional antenna in the forward direction.

This is good for your reception situation , to reduce signal reflections (multipath) that is bouncing off of , hills , mountains , trees , all around your location.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Here are some Strong and Sturdy antenna mounts ,

http://www.ronard.com/909911.html if using a tripod antenna mount use a 3 foot tripod.

http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html if using a eave antenna mount use the #4560 eave antenna mount if possible.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box or buy from ronard.

______________

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

For 3 Tv's connected use a , HFS-3D) 3 way splitter.

Here are places to buy the HFS splitters , http://www.solidsignal.com , or , http://www.hollandelectronics.com.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real good job of , reflecting , reducing , blocking , reception , and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and house.

It is best to install the HD7082P antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception.

The Tv's Must Channel Scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv channels , often named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some Digital Tv's will automatic channel scan for cable tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

Go into the tv setup menu and select the Digital Broadcast Tv 'Air Channels' / '
Antenna Channels'.
