I would not recommend an omnidirectional antenna in your situation. It would likely suffer multipath problems which will result in ghosting on analog channels and make digital signals unreliable. (your amended TVF report @ 40' does not indicate signal strength that I would call 'local', you are in a 'suburban' to 'deep fringe' area.)
