And another possible reason to consider the Antennacraft is, it has a balanced 300Ω output (no integral matching transformer / balun) which makes it a better candidate for use in a low loss stacking arrangement where 450Ω open wire or ladder line is used as the phasing harness. If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
