The bow tie looks like a knock off of the Mclapp 10 x 9 1/2 with a reflector added. It has the newer style of cross over near the ends instead of in the middle in his first design. He found it made a slight gain improvement that way.

I think I am going to mount the VHF Antenna. See what it picks up.
It probably hasnt seen a pole in 40 years.
I am not sure current transformer wires will be long enough to reach the mounting bolts. The space between the 2 is quite wide.

I was thinking the bowtie would be a good template for me to attempt to replicate.
