->ALL<- Questions and Answers about Broadcast Tv Reception and More.

A Simple reception situation.

Install a Antenna Craft CS600 antenna aimed at about 5 degree magnetic compass.

Also install a Antenna Craft U4000 UHF antenna aimed at about 85 degree magnetic compass.
On the U4000 antenna lift the clips that hold the metal reflector Rods in the horizontal position and turn the reflector Rods to the vertical position.
This gets the reflector Rods out of the way so the U4000 will receive at the front of the antenna and the back of the antenna.

The >< shaped metal receiving elements are in the horizontal position not turned , it is the metal - Rods - behind the >< shaped metal reception elements.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Connect the CS600 and U4000 together with a UVSJ = UHF/VHF Separator/Joiner. Type UVSJ in the solidsignal search box.

A amplifier is not required for one or two Tv's connected.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a 2 way splitter.

Tv antennas like elbow room.

Tv antennas receive the best when nothing is reducing and blocking reception like , trees , aiming the antenna in to the roof , other buildings and etc.

Install the antennas above the roof , the antennas can mounted on the same mast pipe , the CS600 on the bottom the U4000 on the top , separate the 2 antennas about 2 feet or so.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.antennacraft.net , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com.
