The ANT-751 and HBU-11 are less antenna than what I would be comfortable recommending. Antennas such as the Winegard HD7694P and Antennacraft HBU-33 are more suited to the modest signal levels at your location.

Alternately, you could consider an Antennas Direct DB4E + CS5. They not nearly as long as the classic Yagi type antennas, but offer comparable performance.

Experiment with mounting location, use what works.

If the well is dry and you don't see rain on the horizon, you'll need to dig the hole deeper. (If the antenna can't get the job done, an amp won't fix it.)
