Thanks for the link. I'm aware of FTA satellite, just didn't think there was anything still worth watching on there. It seems to be just televangelists and informercials. Pretty much any content worth watching is encrypted.

I remember growing up with a friend who lived deep within the forest, far beyond the range of cable, and had a BUD in his backyard. He could see everything, including TV newscasts "behind the scenes" during commercial breaks! That was fun to watch. You'd see the news anchors picking their nose, flirting with each other, unaware that the camera was still on.

Unfortunately, as we know, encryption pretty much killed that, after the 1980's. With the rise of DirecTV and Dish Network on smaller dishes, there was no more use for a BUD. That was the extent of my experience with FTA.
