Try taking your antenna up on the roof first. Installation in an attic is a significant handicap.
Can you post an actual link to your TVFR?
I'd want to see the specs from the antenna manufacturer that gives the antenna gain for each band. A small antenna will typically not pick up VHF channels well, if at all, and the attic installation will make this worse.
This looks like the Lava antenna, and one of the posters on Amazon says it's the same as the Lava. You can read old posts about the Lava:
