I'll second that suggestion. Electrical tape and duct tape are absolutely useless to seal antenna and coax connections. The self-fusing silicone tape is great and will keeps connections clean and dry...

Have you checked the output of the power supply...
Have you checked the output of the power supply with a voltmeter to make sure it hasn't failed? (The expected DC voltage should imprinted on the power supply.)
